Grammar:
Today's
grammar focus was on verbs, including helping verbs. We constructed
our own simple sentences and identified the subject and verb of each.
Math:
Today
in math, we continued our study of linear relationships. Groups
finished their Investigation 1.1, and plotted their information on a
class graph. We discussed the factors that might have changed the
data that different groups ended up with.
For
tomorrow, the assignment is to write a math journal response: (Feel free to email me for the code if you forgot to write it down.) Describe the process
that your group went about Investigation 1.1. What were the roles
people played in the process? What was your role? What problems did
your group encounter, or what surprises were there? If you had to do
this experiment over, what would you change and why?
Language
Arts:
We
started out the day with an online survey that focused on how writers
make their writing powerful. Then we reviewed the “Six Traits”
of writing via a group project.
Social
Studies:
In
Social Studies, we reviewed the five themes of geography as a large
group.
Reminder:
You need to interview an adult about their 9/11 experience and be
prepared to share it with a small group on 9/11.
