Welcome to 7th grade and to my blog! Stay tuned here if you need reminders about upcoming due dates for Language Arts, Advanced Math, or my section of Reading class.  Please feel free to email me at any time with any questions or concerns you may have.

Advanced Math:  I'm hoping that tomorrow we will be able to log into the online math site with ease.  I'm not sure what the problem was today, but as with all new technology, I'm sure we will have to iron out some wrinkles as we go.

Language Arts:  If you did not email your journal response about movies/books that you have seen/read that included foreshadowing, please do not forget.

Reading:  If you did not email me your paragraph about whether you liked the "Emissary" in story form or video form better, please make sure you do so.

Tomorrow is Friday! See you then. :)

LAST MONDAY OF MAY!!!  I hope you have all taken some time to reflect on all of the individuals who have lost their lives fighting for all the freedoms, rights, and opportunities that we have.  We are truly fortunate that we have all that we have, and life would be quite different if so many hadn't been so brave or dedicated.

Just a note that tomorrow--TUESDAY, MAY 28--is the FINAL day to work on your African safari project.  On Wednesday, my Block 1 will need to be ready to present their projects.  This means you need to have your full costume and finished recipes ready to go.  On Thursday, my Block 2 will present their projects.  Those who are absent on these days will have to present individually in front of the entire CC Pod on Friday.

Also, please note that the days that you are not at Camp Salem are still regular school days, and we will having regular educational lessons on these days.  Come prepared to think right up until June 10 at noon.  There are only a few days left, but every minute counts.  :)

Some notes from Mr. Schiferl for Language Arts:
Poems, Poems, Poems.  Over the next few nights and over the weekend, keep writing those poems.  Tuesday we will revise with one another
Some notes from Mr. Schiferl for Social Studies:
World Safaris are coming along nicely.  Keep up the hard work, ask if you need a display board now.  As groups, some of you have come to this point. :)
