We had our first mega-block experience, complete with new class lists and all! I know that my new Block 1 class did a great job, and I suspect that the other classes did as well. Here is an update for today:
ADVANCED MATH: Your assignment was to finish 1.3 (pages 4-the end) and come prepared to discuss it tomorrow. Those who are not finished at the beginning of the class will need to stay after school tomorrow to complete it.
LANGUAGE ARTS BLOCK 1: You were the lucky ones who spent THREE hours with me today. :) If you didn't get your Plot Planning Guide approved, be working on the changes needed for that. If you did get it approved, you should be completing the Story Map. If you already did that as well, you can begin writing your spooky story.
LANGUAGE ARTS BLOCK 2: This is the group that had Mr. Sprain (and art) today. You will have me for the mega-block tomorrow. Please come to class with your Plot Planning Guide complete. You will be behind your peers if you do not have this ready to go.
LANGUAGE ARTS BLOCK 3: This is the group that had Mrs. Ivey today. You will have Mr. Sprain (and art) tomorrow and then I will see you for the mega-block on Thursday. Please come to class with your Plot Planning Guide complete on Thursday. You will be behind your peers if you do not have this ready to go.

Hello, everybody! I promise I'll eventually get these posts out sooner in the day. It has been a whirlwind of a beginning of the year for me, but I'll get back into the swing of things soon. Here is an update of today and some notes about tomorrow:
Advanced Math
Assignment for tomorrow is to do 1-3, pages 1-4. If you haven't written down the questions at the end of the Mathematical Highlights section, please do so now. Also, if you were one of the students with missing work, please turn that in as soon as possible.
Language Arts
Plot planning sheet is due TOMORROW. If you have missing work, please get it in as soon as possible.
Just a note: Tomorrow we will be shuffling the classes, as well as the schedule. Here is our new schedule:
For Reading, you report to your normal Reading class right after brunch, with the exception of Mr. Sprain's NEW Block 1 class, who will head to art class.

Welcome to 7th grade and to my blog! Stay tuned here if you need reminders about upcoming due dates for Language Arts, Advanced Math, or my section of Reading class. Please feel free to email me at any time with any questions or concerns you may have.
Advanced Math: I'm hoping that tomorrow we will be able to log into the online math site with ease. I'm not sure what the problem was today, but as with all new technology, I'm sure we will have to iron out some wrinkles as we go.
Language Arts: If you did not email your journal response about movies/books that you have seen/read that included foreshadowing, please do not forget.
