What a whirlwind of a day!  But a good one as well...

Grammar:  No homework; continuation of compound sentences tomorrow

Math: I handed back the first book assignment, which all students have been given the option to redo for a better score if they so wish.  We discussed the importance of meticulosity when completing math assignments--remembering to read directions, label/title graphs, give explanation when asked, and just trying to be neat.

TODAY: Students are working in groups to solve Problem 1.3 in class.

Assignment for tomorrow:
p. 13 (#3 a-f)
p. 14 (#4 a, b, c, f)
p. 16 (7 & 8)

Language Arts:  Today the SWAT team (School Wide Assessment Team) came in and kidnapped 7th graders, one at a time, to assess their reading fluency.  In the midst of that, the remaining students attempted several different stations focusing on a few different language arts standards.  This was my first try at stations in Language Arts, but judging from the students' exit tickets, they were mostly in favor of them with a few minor adjustments.

Social Studies:   Tomorrow is Friday, so we will have our large block of Social Studies time after math class.  During this time, students will have their last in-class moments to work on their 5 Themes projects, which are due next Friday.  We do have some students who are ready to go and excited to share their projects, and they will share theirs during the last 30 minutes of class time.  Students are reminded that they need to be accessing their Social Studies "flipped classroom" assignments via Edmodo.

A few of you still need to get your permission slips in!  Please don't forget.  Also, we need to get every student's medical form back as well.

Please feel free to email me with any questions!
