Monday, Monday. LAST day of September! Time is flying, and midquarter is just around the corner. Here are some notes from today:
Advanced Math
In math class today, students took a pretest, and then they started some independent math tasks focusing on some of the areas of struggle that I am seeing in a majority of the students. We will continue those math tasks tomorrow.
Language Arts
Today we had three wonderful guest speakers, Mr. Greengrass, Mr. Miller, and Mr. Yang discuss the role of spirits in their cultures. The students prepared many great questions ahead of time, and the three gentlemen shared with us much wisdom.
Spooky stories will be due at the beginning of the class on Friday, and you will have tomorrow and Wednesday to work on them in class. Thursday we begin our focus on persuasive business letters.
