Advanced Math: I still have no takers for the Math Talent Search--something to think about. Quiz tomorrow! Today was spent reviewing all the items on the quiz, and students were encouraged to ask questions. Then using their iPads, students took a screenshot of the quiz focus items. In case they didn't, however, here is the list:
- Making a line of best fit
- Writing an equation for that line
- Answering questions from your model
- Writing equations from certain information
- Solving for x in an equation with x on both sides
- Giving a "real-life" situation that a linear equation could represent and vice-versa
- One long division problem
Language Arts: No new homework. We reviewed with the students common areas of concern with their spooky stories. They will receive their stories with revision suggestions tomorrow, and the next draft will be due Wednesday at midnight (or at least BEFORE coming to Language Arts on Thursday) via email.
Johnson's/Porter's Reading Class: Tomorrow we will watch "The Emissary" and then the rest of the week will be devoted to writing a compare/contrast piece and working with other pieces of fiction.
