Starting tomorrow, those students who have any missing work are expected to stay after school every day for 30 minutes until they are caught up (for my classes).

Grammar:  We continued with simple sentences, ending with each of us adding something to a simple sentence that helps describe the subject and predicate without making it into a different kind of sentence.  We'll review simple sentences tomorrow, and there will be an assessment on Thursday.

Math:  Students took a quick assessment to gauge their learning thus far.  Tomorrow they will see how they did on this quiz, and we'll continue our review of math vocabulary.  Students were given "late work notices" today. Only assignment for tomorrow:  define a linear relationship.

Language Arts: Today we started our "spooky story" unit with a review of literary elements and some impromptu writing practice.  We'll continue with this tomorrow.  No new homework.

Social Studies:  Continue working on the 5 Themes project, which you will be presenting to the entire pod on Friday.  Don't forget that your group has to write a question about your presentation which will serve as part of the assessment for this unit.  Also, be sure to be practicing your map of Russia via the site posted on Edmodo.

As usual, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via phone, email, Edmodo, this blog, in person, or otherwise. :)
