Hello to Friday! Another week has flown by! Can you believe we are 11 days into October already? We need to hold on tight to autumn before it's gone. Here are the class updates:
Advanced Math: Homework for Monday includes Problem 2.5 and ACE questions #14, 15, 16, 17, 21 (which can be found on your iPad pages 23 and 24 and 27 through 29.) We will have a quiz on Tuesday. (It was supposed to be Monday, but I failed to remind everyone in class today. I will review with you on Monday what the quiz will be covering.)
I *still* have no takers for the Math Talent Search through University of Wisconsin-Madison. It is such a wonderful challenge, and I hope some of you reconsider. I have the information posted at the front of the room. Otherwise, you can also find it here: Math Talent Search.
Language Arts: What a busy week in Language Arts! We continued our conversation about ethos, pathos, and logos and focus on the different parts of a business letter. Today the rough draft of the business letters were due. All but three students successfully turned in their letters! Way to go! You will get your stories back on Monday with revision suggestions. We will then give you a couple days to revise your story and turn it in for a teacher edit.
