Upcoming Due Dates
Due Monday, May 7 at the BEGINNING OF CLASS:
Annotate the lyrics of your favorite song, labeling as many of the poetic devices correctly as you can. Specific instructions:
- Pick a song that is school-appropriate
- Pick a song that has several different poetic devices
- Either copy and paste the lyrics into Google Docs or print them out
- Be sure your labeling is clear (I need to know that YOU KNOW what a metaphor, simile, and so on, is.)
- 5 points for Reading
Due Tuesday, May 8 at the END OF CLASS:
Draft 1 of your ode. Specific instructions:
- Use Google Docs to type this up
- Name your file with your name and "ode"--example: "Fred--ode"
- Must be at least 20 lines
- Should have several different poetic devices throughout your poem
- 5 points for Writing
Due Tuesday, May 15 at the BEGINNING OF CLASS:
8th Grade Farewell Assignments. Specific instructions:
- Short (10 seconds at the longest) video “Who are you?”--Upload to your Google Drive and then share with me or email to me.
- Bulleted list of favorite memories--can email me
- “Thank you” letter(s)
- Music requests and photos for slideshow
