Well, the time has come! The Outdoor Educational Experience is just before us! I have posted the schedule for kids who will be with me at Lincoln tomorrow, and I will go over this with you tomorrow morning as well.

Advanced Math:  I did not assign any new homework today.  We had a quick whiteboard warm-up activity of solving for "x" and a long division problem.  Then we shared paraphrased definitions of inverse variation.  We will continue our focus on inverse variation for the remainder of this week.  Please remember to get in here and retake those quizzes if you didn't do well on them the first time around.

Language Arts:  You should have turned in the final copy of your business letter today, and we should have your spooky story Draft 2.  On the days that you are back from Camp Salem, we will work on finalizing your spooky story and any missing homework you have.  Likewise, you will have one segment of art with Mrs. Burns and time with Mrs. Watson as well.  While with Mrs. Watson, you will have the opportunity to visit the book fair and make purchases.  If you plan to do this, please come to school prepared with money to buy books. If you don't buy books, that is fine, you will still have time to check out books and/or read quietly.

Camp Salem News and Schedule Back Here:
First of all, if you are going to Camp Salem, please remember to bring WARM clothes, especially for sleeping.  If you happen to have extra shoes, bring them in case your others get wet.  Hats, coats, mittens, extra socks--bring them.  You want to stay as dry and warm as possible.  When you get to school tomorrow morning, please stash all of your belongings in the Commons/lunchroom right away.  Then go to Mr. Sprain's room for attendance.  Ms. Porter will be there to take attendance.

..............................................................................
The rest of you will go to math.  Mr. Sprain's math students and Mrs. Ivey's math students will report to Mr. Lo's room for math.  My math students will report to me as usual.  After math, we will go to brunch, and then here is the plan for after brunch:

  • 8:45-9:35: BOYS in Mrs. Johnson’s room; GIRLS in Mrs. Burn’s room
  • 9:35-10:25: BOYS in LMC with Mrs. Watson; GIRLS in Mrs. Johnson’s room
  • 10:25-11:15: BOYS in Mrs. Burn’s room; GIRLS in Mrs. Johnson’s room
  • 11:15-12:10: BOYS in Mrs. Johnson’s room, GIRLS in LMC with Mrs. Watson
You will have lunch and afternoon classes as regularly scheduled.

Math Students, Save the Zogs!

I had a few parents ask me if I knew of any games for extra help with slope-intercept form.  I showed some of you this site earlier in the year, but I failed to take into account that iPads cannot use flash.  However, I'm sharing this site again for those of you who have access to a laptop or desktop in case you want to see what the game is all about.  Here is the link to it:SAVE THE ZOGS.

Happy practicing! :)
