NOW PAST DUE for several of you (and I emailed each of you, so please check your email):
- Working thesis statement for your NHD project--This is ONE SENTENCE that argues the historical significance of your topic. It needs to be something debatable and supportable, and it should have three "branches" off the main idea. (Remember the example we saw in class: Superman is cool because he (1)can fly, (2)saves people from danger, and (3)is strong. Your thesis statement should be similar.
- Debate essay--This is a SIX-PARAGRAPH essay, three paragraphs for each debate that you WATCHED (not the one in which you participated). You need one paragraph discussing the reasons for each topic, one paragraph discussing the reasons against each topic, and one paragraph telling what your opinion on each topic is.
