No homework for Advanced Math, but there is a test on Wednesday.  (I decided to move it from Monday to Wednesday in order to give students more time to master some of the important concepts that they need to master.)

There is also no homework for Language Arts.  Ms. Porter and I will be finishing up the grading of both the spooky stories and persuasive business letters this weekend, so be looking for an updated grade on Monday night.

For all classes--Math, Reading, and Language Arts--students need to turn in their missing assignments. The end of the quarter is Wednesday, and teachers will be expected to finalize grades at that time.

Happy Halloween! What a busy day for all of us! I'm sorry I had to step out during all of it, but I heard that all of the students did a spectacular job!  Thanks to the parents who came to visit, and thanks to the families who shared treats with us! Most of all, thanks to all of you who have offered your support for your children during the writing of two hefty pieces of writing.  The students deserve a big pat on the back for persisting and doing a great job on both their letters and their spooky stories! Don't stay up too late eating candy tonight!

Parents--if anyone was able to get some great pictures, I would LOVE it if you could share them with me.

Students--You were supposed to turn in your story again, as I have not yet graded them.  Please remember to give it to me so I can grade it this weekend.  Thanks!

Tomorrow is the day that we have been working so hard for! It will be a spooktacular day! Pretzels and a sugary beverage will be provided, and you may bring treats for either your homeroom or the entire CC Pod if you wish.  Please remember--no nuts (except me, of course).  Seriously though, we have several individuals with peanut and tree nut allergies, so if you do bring a treat to share, make it something that is peanut-free and nut-free.

Just a note:  Students who are absent tomorrow will read their story to their Language Arts class on the day that return from their absence.

We will still have math tomorrow, and after brunch, the fun begins! Can't wait to see everyone's creative costumes!

Homework for Advanced Math for tomorrow was 4.1 and 4.2.  Test on Monday.
